Section 1.1.1.4 Kiosk Mode

Kiosk Mode is an Administration Menu setting that secures the WIB™ Unit by restricting access to the WIB™ Capture application only. When Kiosk Mode is enabled, users cannot interact with the operating system or launch other applications on the WIB™ Unit.

Only a sysadmin user can enable or disable Kiosk Mode. After toggling Kiosk Mode, the Capture Program must be restarted for the change to take effect. The same steps required to enable Kiosk Mode are required to disable it.

When Kiosk Mode is active, the Kiosk Mode button in the Administration Menu displays a locked-screen icon to indicate the current state.

Note: After toggling Kiosk Mode, the Capture Program must be restarted for the change to take effect.
