Section 1.1.1.5 Configure Barcode Scanner

WIB™ Capture integrates with the Wasp WDI4600 barcode scanner. When the scanner is connected and configured correctly, operators can scan a barcode to trigger a new box automatically. If a different barcode scanner is used, the operator must select Manual Barcode and use the scanner to overwrite the automated manual barcode value instead. The configuration procedure below applies to the Wasp WDI4600 only and will not work with other barcode scanner models.

Use the procedure below if the barcode scanner stops working or requires reconfiguration.

Before You Begin

If the barcode scanner is not actively reading barcodes (for example, after being dropped), it must be reset to factory settings before scanning any QR codes. Press and hold the trigger on the barcode scanner for 5 seconds or until the device beeps several times.

Step 1 — Try a Quick Reset

  1. Open the hamburger menu in WIB™ Capture (collapsed button strip at the bottom of the screen).
  2. Click RECONNECT. This reconnects all peripherals connected to the PC, including cameras, Stream Decks, and the barcode scanner.
  3. Scan a barcode.

If the scan succeeds, the scanner is reset and working correctly. No further steps are needed.

If the scan does not succeed, proceed to Step 2.

Step 2 — Reconfigure the Barcode Scanner

Scan each of the following QR codes in order using the Wasp WDI4600 barcode scanner. After scanning all seven, open the hamburger menu, click RECONNECT, and try scanning a barcode to confirm the scanner is working.
