Administration Menu

The administration menu allows managers to set up users, manage sessions, and enable Kiosk mode. Standard users can configure the barcode scanner and calibrate the touchscreen monitors should either stop performing.

Users

A manager can create User profiles on the WIB™ Unit. These profiles are different than the profiles in WIB Review. If needed, the manager can reset a user's password or remove the user from the WIB™ Unit. The profiles are unique to the WIB™ Unit and must be configured for each.

Session Manager

Session Manager offers a view of past sessions and current sessions and their status as it relates to transfer to WIB ™ Review. Managers can manually transfer images to an encrypted external hard drive and remove sessions that have met retention requirements. Future features will include the ability to delete, upload, and restore sessions for append and re-scan activities.

Settings

The unit will be configured prior to delivery. The settings menu contains the USB channels for the cameras, ring lights, and the barcode scanner. The current version of the application is provided. This menu is for support tickets and the settings should not require changes. The user can customize some of the settings from this menu using other tools available to the user in WIB Capture.

Kiosk Mode

Kiosk mode allows managers to set the WIB™ Unit into a state that only allows standard users to access the capture program. When on, WIB™ Capture is automatically launched when the WIB™ Unit is turned on. An administrator or manager role can turn off Kiosk mode. The WIB™ Unit must always restart to turn on/off kiosk mode. When Kiosk mode is turned on the button is in color and if off the button is bi-tonal.

Configure Barcode

The barcode scanner can require configuration if dropped, loses connection, or fails to register when the WIB™ Unit is turned on. The admin or standard user can launch the instructions for calibration by selecting the configure barcode scanner. Follow the instructions to calibrate the barcode scanner.

Tablet PC Settings

Should the monitors ever get switched, unplugged, or the capture program is closed prematurely the monitors may require calibration. The admin, a manager, or standard user can calibrate the monitors by attaching the mini-keyboard and selecting the tablet PC settings.
  1.   Select setup in the Configuration section of the settings.
  2. One of the screens will display a tap finger identify touchscreen, select that screen.
  3. Using the mini-keyboard, select enter.
  4. The tap identify touchscreen will appear on the second monitor, select that screen.
  5. The touchscreen monitors are now configured.
