Section 1.1.1.2 Session Manager

Section 1.1.1.2 Session Manager

The Session Manager allows administrators to review session activity, remove processed sessions from the device, and transfer session data to offline storage when network connectivity is unavailable.

To open the Session Manager, click Session Manager in the Administration Menu.

Pending Sessions

The Pending Sessions panel displays sessions that are queued for upload to the WIB™ Portal. Each row shows the following fields:

  • Workspace — the workspace associated with the session
  • Project — the project the session was captured under
  • Collection — the collection assigned to the session
  • Session — the session identifier
  • Size — the total data size of the session
  • Pending — the number of images pending upload
  • Archived — the number of images archived
  • Started — the date and time the session was started
  • Status — reserved for future use

Sessions move from the Pending panel to the Processed panel automatically once the Upload Program completes the upload. If sessions remain in the Pending panel and are not being processed, confirm that the Upload Program is running. If the Upload Program is running but sessions are not uploading, open a support ticket.

Processed Sessions

The Processed Sessions panel displays sessions that have been successfully uploaded to the WIB™ Portal. The grid shows the same columns as Pending Sessions.

Removing Processed Sessions

Processed sessions remain on the device after upload. The Remove function clears selected processed sessions from local device storage to free up space.

To remove processed sessions, click Remove in the left sidebar. The Remove dialog opens and displays all processed sessions currently stored on the device.

Sessions can be selected individually using the checkboxes, or all sessions can be selected at once using Select All. To pre-select sessions based on age, choose one of the following options under Remove sessions from Archive that are older than:

  • 90 Days (default)
  • 60 Days
  • 30 Days
  • All

The age filter automatically pre-selects sessions that match the selected criteria. Selections can be adjusted manually before proceeding.

Click Start to remove the selected sessions from the device. Click Exit to close the dialog without making changes.

Note: The Remove function acts on Processed Sessions only. Pending sessions cannot be removed.

Transferring Sessions

The Transfer option is used when WIB™ Unit devices are operating at a location without internet access. In this scenario, session data is transferred to an encrypted USB storage device provided by Radix Data. The device is then shipped to Radix Data, where the data is uploaded using the Transfer Program.

Note: The Transfer Program is operated exclusively by Radix Data personnel and is not covered in this documentation.

To initiate a transfer, click Transfer in the left sidebar. The Transfer dialog opens and displays the sessions available for transfer.

In the Location field, enter the path of the USB storage device, or click Browse to navigate to the device location.

Click Start to begin the transfer. Click Exit to close the dialog without transferring.
