Hierarchy Navigation

Hierarchy Navigation

The Hierarchy Navigation panel lets you view and move through the set of images captured in a hierarchical workflow session. It arranges those images to match the hierarchy defined in the capture workflow, so you can see how each image relates to the others as you review them.

Note: Hierarchical capture must be configured in your capture workflow before it is available. To set up a hierarchical workflow for your WIB™ Unit, open a support ticket requesting a new capture workflow.

When the panel appears

The Hierarchy Navigation panel is part of the preview window. It opens automatically when a photo is taken and stays open while you work. If you close the preview window, reopen it - along with the panel - using the Preview button. The Preview button appears blue when the preview is enabled and gray when it is disabled.

The hierarchy levels

Images are organized into three levels:

  • Container - the top level, shown with its container identifier (for example, WIBF0726071509554). The container-level photo (for example, front.jpg.enc) appears directly beneath it.
  • Parent - a grouping within the container (for example, file-001.jpg.enc). A container can hold multiple parents.
  • Child - an individual image within a parent (for example, document-002.jpg.enc). A parent can hold multiple children.
  • Use the collapse and expand arrows to open or close the tree and each Parent node.
  • Single-click any item to select it. Selecting an item highlights it in the tree and displays that image in the preview.

Filenames

Images are stored encrypted on the WIB™ Unit, so each entry in the tree shows the stored filename with its .enc extension (for example, document-002.jpg.enc).
