Section 8.2 Verification Module

Section 8.2 Verification Module

Section 8.2 Verification Module

The Verification Module is a Batch Manager workflow stage used to verify the data extracted into attribute fields. Where the Quality Control Module focuses on image quality review, the Verification Module focuses on extracted data accuracy. Whether Verification is active and at which point it occurs depends on which modules are enabled in the workflow configuration. Batches in the Verification stage appear on the Verification tab of the Batch Manager grid.

Verification Grid

The Verification tab displays all batches currently in the Verification stage. The grid includes the following columns: Name, Project, Collection, Workflow, Note, Date & Time, AI Data Extraction Issues, Images, Queue, Status, User, Function, and Session.

The AI Data Extraction Issues column displays extraction issue counts in issues / total attributes format.

Column filters, sorting, and grid state behavior follow the same pattern as the other Batch Manager grid tabs. See Section 8 Batch Manager for grid filtering documentation.

Action Buttons

The action buttons at the top of the Verification grid and review surface are consistent across all Batch Manager modules. See Section 8 Batch Manager for a description of each button.

Verification Review Surface

Selecting a batch from the Verification grid opens the Verification review surface. The Verification Mode pill at the top left of the action bar indicates the current module.

Navigation follows the same box-to-box and image-to-image pattern as the Quality Control Module. Within an image, attribute-to-attribute navigation is supported via the Tab key or by clicking the + button on any attribute row to enter a value manually.

Action Bar

  • Enable Image Popup — Opens the current image in a moveable popup viewer that can be repositioned to a second screen. The popup stays in sync with the thumbnail strip — pressing Enter advances to the next image in the strip and loads it in the popup automatically.
  • Delete Image — Permanently deletes the current image.
  • Image tab — Returns to the image viewer.
  • Timeline tab — Displays the processing history timeline for the current image in UTC.
  • Extraction tab — Displays the overall AI extraction confidence percentage for the current image. Clicking opens the AI Extraction Mapping view.
  • Properties tab — Opens the Properties pane.

Thumbnail Strip

The left panel displays a scrollable strip of image thumbnails for the current box. Each thumbnail shows the image filename, AI Score percentage, and AI Extraction percentage.

Image Viewer

The center panel displays the current image. Controls include the rotation angle selector, Save Rotation, zoom level selector, Open Image Editor, and Show Image checkbox.

Right Panel Tiles

The right panel displays tiles for the current image. Tiles can be shown or hidden using Configure Tiles at the top right to reclaim screen space as needed.

AI Tags — Displays AI-generated tags applied to the current image.

Box Notes — Displays notes attached to the current box. Select + to add a new note.

Image Tags — Displays user-applied tags for the current image.

Identified Forms — Displays form identification results for the current image.

AI Extraction — Displays the attribute group name, overall confidence percentage, and processing time, followed by per-attribute extraction results. Each attribute shows its name, confidence score, and extracted value.

Image Attributes — Displays the image's attribute values with Extracted and User columns. The Extracted column shows values populated automatically by AI data extraction or Regex; the User column captures values entered or corrected manually by the operator. Comparing these two columns provides insight into extraction accuracy and is useful for refining Regex patterns and AI Data Extraction prompts. Toggle the switch to ON to enable editing. Once enabled, edit mode persists as you navigate between images until the toggle is turned back OFF. In edit mode, values can be entered in the following ways:

  • Use + on any attribute row to type a value directly into the User field.
  • Select text within the image, then right-click to open the context menu. Choose Assignment and select the target attribute to assign the selected text to that attribute's User field.
  • Use the Copy button to copy attribute values from the current image.

Use the trash icon to clear a user-entered value. Select Save to commit changes or Cancel to discard.

Regex Matches — Displays regex pattern match results for the current image.

AI Extraction Mapping

The Extraction tab opens the AI Extraction Mapping view, which displays the following for the current image:

  • Extracted — timestamp of the most recent extraction run
  • Processing Time — duration of the extraction run in seconds
  • Overall Confidence — aggregate confidence percentage across all attributes

Each attribute group is listed with its name, priority, attribute count, and value count. Individual attributes show their name, type badge, confidence percentage, prompt description, and extracted values.

Properties Pane

The Properties pane is accessible via the Properties tab in the action bar. It contains the following sections:

System Attributes lists the following fields for the current image:

  • Image Name
  • Session Name
  • Session Id
  • Box Id
  • Box Identifier
  • Box Image Barcode
  • Image Id
  • Image Type
  • Workflow QC Status
  • Has Been Rotated
  • Has Been Cropped

Image Attributes — Displays attribute values in read-only format (toggle OFF by default).

AI Quality Score — Displays the image quality percentage and rating (Good / Fair / Poor).

AI Extraction Score — Displays the overall extraction confidence percentage and rating (Good / Fair / Poor).

AI Tags — Lists AI-generated tags applied to the current image.

Timeline — Displays the image processing history as a UTC timeline.
