Capture Container ID

Scan Box Barcode

If the material has printed barcodes, use the barcode scanner to capture the barcode. The status will be displayed in the Current Box Message Center. If the Barcode does not scan, please refer to the Troubleshooting Article - Configure Barcode Scanner

Barcode Button

If you would like to use the autogenerated barcode feature or another wireless barcode scanner, select the Barcode button. A dialog with an autogenerated barcode will appear. Select OK to accept the autogenerated value or scan a barcode to replace the value. Select OK to proceed.

Barcode Errors

The barcode cannot contain a space or period at the end of the barcode. The program will let you know if there is an error with the barcode.

Scan RFID Tag

If the material has an RFID tag, use the reader to capture the RFID tag. The status will be displayed in the Current Box Message Center.

Create a Box Barcode

If the material does not have a barcode or RFID tag, use the Auto Barcode Feature (see Barcode Button) to create a barcode. For items that are not boxes, files taken out of a file cabinet for example, a box note can be used to identify where the content came from and is being stored after capture.

Create and Print a Box Barcode

Using the Auto Barcode Feature you can create a barcode and print a label to add to the box. There is no need to scan the barcode since the system has already assigned the next set of photos to the barcode. Apply the box barcode prior to capturing the 1st Array Photo so the barcode is in the photo(s).
